I have been involved in overseas charities for over two decades. When I moved into the local area over a year ago I wanted to be involved with a charity that makes a difference to the local community, transforming the lives of people where there is such a big need.
I was born in Singapore, of Indian heritage but grew up in London from the mid ‘70s. I have travelled in South-East Asia for nearly 20 years whilst doing charity work amongst many other things. I’ve helped to set up a charity which serves millions in South-East Asia. Managed projects for the World Health Organisation that have impacted social change by raising funds and establishing Socio Economic Development plans for several countries.
At the age of sixteen (early ‘80s) I did a fundraiser walk/run 46 miles (London to Brighton) in one day. And the same year broke the world record in launching the greatest number of gliders from one airfield in one day (Biggin Hill). I have a Diploma in Computer Studies and a 3-year Diploma in New Testament theology and world religions.
I work as a Team Leader for Southwark, London City Mission and I’m a Director of Novalnet UK Ltd.
