Carl was a resident at what was then the Cambridge University Mission, shortly after graduating in 1994. He went to Botswana for a two-year assignment in 1996 and stayed there for 15 years.

The Salmon Youth Centre and its residents had a major influence on Carl so much so that when he came back to the UK in 2011 with his wife and children, he decided that Bermondsey was the place they were supposed to be.

Carl feels that Salmon and its work have been important to many young people and residents that have passed through its doors and he wants to support the work Salmon does in bringing the message and practice of Jesus to Bermondsey.
