“Life is full of hardships” – Jay Jay’s youth work motivation
24/06/2019
Jay Jay spent a week with Salmon on work experience. Here's what he learnt in his short time here...
Hello, I’m Jay Jay. I am 17 years old.
I attend Bosco College where I am studying Youth Work Level 1.
I first attended youth club at Salmon in the 6-9’s group and have been attending since then. I wanted to do work experience here because I have grown to know the staff here and I want to give back to the community and become a youth worker.
I feel that this experience gave me the information I needed to take it into the world of work. I also feel that it broadened and improved my skills in dealing with young people.
When I leave college I want to go into Youth Work because life is full of hardships and I want to make sure that no one has to go through them alone. I want to be a voice and a role model to the young people that need hope and an ear to rant to.
When I leave college I want to go into Youth Work because life is full of hardships and I want to make sure that no one has to go through them alone.
