I want to become a Trustee with Salmon Youth Centre because I am keen to see young people realise their full potential. Realising full potential can be limited by our life experiences and the amount of support we have on our journey. I am so impressed by the variety and depth of opportunities offered by SYC and the way they holistically support young people to dream BIG. As a Trustee, I am particularly interested in ensuring SYC remains a viable, sustainable and relevant charity by offering my support to staff in areas of leadership, development and mentoring. I am also keen to support the voice and experience of the service users, giving them opportunities to implement their ideas and hopes for SYC. I believe everyone thrives when they have access to and can participate in community.

I have worked in social services for 20+ years, primarily overseeing projects in the homelessness sector specialising in supporting adult clients with complex, high-risk support needs. My roles have ranged from Development to Operations Management with experiences in the charity sector, prisons and local government. I am currently a Services Manager for a large charity working with individuals experiencing homelessness in London.

I have degrees in Business Administration, both Bachelors and Masters. I have also achieved a Forest School Practitioners qualification, and I am pursuing a Prince7 Project Management qualification.

I have lived on three continents, enjoy spending time outdoors camping and exploring and my next bucket list item is to cage dive in shark infested waters!
